Now a nationally known authority on vocational and technical education, Sorensen scored 1034 career points, a men's basketball record that stood for seven years. He was team captain in 1959, earning all-WSUC honors. Sorensen led Milwaukee high schoolers in scoring in 1955. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Stout and holds a doctorate from UW-Madison. Sorensen serves on the Stout University Foundation Board of Directors and has published and researched extensively for vocational and technical education journals.
