Returned from the Vietnam war to lead the Blue Devils to a conference basketball championship and a trip to the national tournament in 1969. Led the conference in scoring for the 1967-68 season. Most valuable player and captain. Holds record for most points scored in a single game, 42, and highest career scoring average, 19.
