RIVER FALLS - The UW-Stout women's golf team kicked off the 2025-26 season in commanding fashion, claiming the team title at the Falcon Invite with its A squad posting a two-round total of 644 (+68) on Sunday at River Falls Golf Club. The Blue Devils finished 21 strokes ahead of runner-up Dakota Wesleyan in the 13-team field, while Stout's B team placed sixth at 687 (+111).
Stout showed impressive depth, with four players finishing in the top 10 individually. Sophomore
Julia Imai led the charge with a runner-up finish at 156 (+12), carding an 81 (+9) in the opening round followed by a strong 75 (+3). Junior
Brin Neumann secured third place at 159 (+15) behind rounds of 78 (+6) and 81 (+9).
Ashleigh Johnson placed sixth with 163 (+19) after a team-low first-round 77 (+5), and
Sarah Chaffee took eighth at 166 (+22).
Kaitlyn Bohl rounded out the A team's scoring with 177 (+33).
The B squad was paced by
Avery Meyer and
Hallie Tulip, who tied for 15th at 169 (+25) each.
Annika Bilau (173, +29) and
Andrea Smith (176, +32) contributed to the effort, with
Cassie Santelman adding 182 (+38).
Competing as individuals,
Peyton Zipperer shot 179 (+35) to tie for 39th, while
Liz Rohl carded 183 (+39) for 53rd.
UW-Stout returns to action Sept. 6-7 at the Wartburg Invite in Waverly, Iowa.
