ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The UW-Stout Blue Devils delivered an impressive showing at the Bethel Invitational with multiple athletes securing top-5 finishes.
In the women's 100 meters,
Lilly Gamache sprinted to third place with a time of 12.31 seconds, earning a New '25 DIII #44 ranking. The women's 100-meter hurdles saw a strong performance from the Blue Devils, with senior
Hannah Zastrow taking second (14.32, DIII #9),
Lilly Roberts claiming third (14.75, DIII #16), and
Kaylie Raths finishing fourth (14.89, DIII #20). In the men's 110-meter hurdles, senior
Kaden Martin secured fifth place with a time of 14.78 (DIII #20).
The women's 400-meter hurdles featured more success, as
Lilly Roberts earned second (1:02.46, DIII #10) and
Kaylie Raths took fifth (1:03.63, DIII #21).
Corrina Tvedt rounded out the track highlights with a sixth-place finish in the women's 400 meters (59.18).
In field events,
Jack Roeber dominated the men's long jump, winning first with a mark of 6.96 meters (DIII #15), and also claimed third in the men's triple jump at 13.94 meters (DIII #16).
Matthew Binstock and
Noah Flood Elyafi tied for first in the men's high jump, both clearing 1.95 meters, while Flood Elyafi also took fifth in the men's triple jump (13.72m, DIII #34).
Braden Krystosek vaulted to second in the men's pole vault at 4.55 meters (DIII #55).
For the women,
Leah Zastrow and
Raegan Sorensen finished second and third in the pole vault, respectively, both clearing 3.60 meters (DIII #23 and #25), with junior
Abi Weishoff adding a fifth-place finish at 3.30 meters (DIII #93).
Hannah Zastrow also earned second in the women's high jump (1.60m, DIII #51). In the long jump,
Jenna Driscoll took third (5.42m, DIII #39), and
Becca Hansen finished fifth (5.37m, DIII #43).
Isabelle Jaenicke leaped to second in the women's triple jump with 10.84 meters (DIII #78), followed by
Ally Amundson in fifth (10.60m).
In throwing events,
Karter Rashke won the men's shot put with a toss of 17.18 meters (DIII #3), while
Joey Lanoux placed fourth (15.05m).
Jesse Fowler took first in the men's hammer throw (55.19m, DIII #21) and fourth in the discus (41.83m), with
Braden Borgerding finishing fifth in the hammer (48.40m).
Aubree Koenings led the women with third in the discus (42.22m) and fourth in the hammer throw (49.84m, DIII #30).
The Blue Devils return to action next weekend in La Crosse, Wis. at the Phil Esten Challenge The meet will take Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex Thursday and Friday April 17-18.
