MENOMONIE – Brandon Connett has been named UW-Stout Athletics' new development officer, according to Athletic Director Duey Naatz and Kristi Krimpelbein, Head of Staff & Legislative Liaison. Connett will lead the Blue Devils athletic department's fundraising efforts as a member of the UW-Stout Foundation & Alumni Association's advancement team.
"We are truly excited to welcome Brandon to our team to continue this relationship between the University Foundation and Blue Devil athletics," Naatz said.
No stranger to UW-Stout or to the Blue Devils' athletic department, Connett graduated from Stout with a bachelor's degree in real estate property management. He was a member of the Blue Devil hockey team from 2020-24 and was a four-year letter winner, team captain and played in 87 career games.
"I'm incredibly excited to return to my alma mater as the Athletics Development Officer," Connett said. "Having spent four unforgettable years as a student-athlete here, I am honored to be able to give back to the university and help elevate our athletic programs. My goal is to work with the community and alumni to raise the resources needed to continue providing exceptional opportunities for our students to thrive, both on and off the playing field. I look forward to building strong partnerships that will create lasting impact, foster school spirit, and ensure that our athletes have the support they need to succeed at the highest level,"
Connett moves into the position previously held by Erin Konsela, who was promoted to Corporate Foundations & Relations Gift Officer with the UW-Stout Foundation & Alumni Association.
"I am confident that Brandon's passion for Blue Devil athletics combined with his understanding of UW-Stout's polytechnic mission will enhance the opportunities for our student athletes," Krimpelbein said. "I look forward to seeing Brandon build on the strong foundation that Erin established in this role."
Connett, a Baldwin native, resides in Menomonie with his wife Sophia who is the Blue Devils head women's golf coach.
