This Week in Blue Devils Athletics: April 13-19

THIS WEEK IN BLUE DEVIL ATHLETICS: April 6-12

SOFTBALL

The Blue Devils dropped a doubleheader at Stevens Point on Friday, falling 5-4 in 12 innings and 2-0 in game two. Stout's series against Platteville on Sunday was rained out.

The Blue Devils will host the University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Tuesday, April 14, for a twin bill. First pitch at Alumni Field is set for 4 p.m.

The Blue Devils will then travel to Whitewater, Wis., for two games against the Warhawks on Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m.

BASEBALL

The Blue Devil baseball team dropped eight home games last week at Wakanda Park. 

This week, they welcome UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday, April 15, for a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. Then they host UW-Stevens Point for a four-game series April 18-19, starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday.

LACROSSE

The Blue Devil lacrosse team fell to UW-River Falls 23-7 in a home game on Friday.

Next, Stout travels to St. Joseph, Minn. on Wednesday, April 15, to face the College of St. Benedict at 5 p.m. The team will return to Nelson Field for their home finale on Saturday, April 18, to play Hamline University at 1 p.m.

TRACK & FIELD

The Blue Devil track and field team competed in two meets this week. In Platteville, Wis., Claudia Lasiowski set a school record in the 5000m with a time of 16:57.43. At the Bethel meet, Malachy Driscoll ran a 14.46 (third-fastest in school history) in the 110-meter hurdles, a personal best that moves him to #12 in NCAA Division III. Knox cleared 5.01m (16-05.25) to win the pole vault, moving to #5 in Division III. Raegan Sorensen won the women's pole vault with a height of 3.85m (12-07.50). Lincoln Wellsmith won the women's shot put with a mark of 12.70m, #39 in Division III.

The Blue Devils will travel to La Crosse, Wis. April 17-18 to compete at the Phil Esten Challenge.

TENNIS

The Blue Devil tennis team dropped a pair of home matches 7-0 on Saturday, falling to Coe College and Gustavus Adolphus College.

The Blue Devils will travel to River Falls, Wis. to face the Falcons on Saturday, April 18 at 10 a.m. and play an exhibition match against Minnesota Duluth at 1 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Ramer Tennis Stadium.

FLAG FOOTBALL

The Blue Devils flag football team opened the 2026 season with three games at the Saint Benedict Jamboree. Stout defeated Gustavus Adolphus 19-6 and Augustana University (S.D.) 46-40 in overtime, before falling to Concordia Morehead 32-25.

The Blue Devils will travel to St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday, April 18 to compete at the University of Northwestern (Minn.) Jamboree. Stout will face the College of Saint Benedict, St. Olaf College, and Bethel University. All games will be played at Reynolds Field.

MEN'S GOLF

After a week off, the Blue Devil men's golf team will travel to Mundelein, Illinois, to compete in the Forester Spring Invite April 17-18 at the Countryside Golf Club - Prairie Course.

WOMEN'S GOLF

The Blue Devil women's golf team placed second at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling in Normal, Illinois at Ironwood Golf Course. Leading the way was Julia Imai, who tied for individual medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 147 (+3). Imai posted rounds of 72 and 75 to earn a share of the title, finishing ahead of multiple top-ranked individuals, including the No. 6, No. 10 and No. 22 ranked players in the nation.

The Blue Devils will travel to Janesville, Wisconsin to compete at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite April 17-18 at the Janesville Riverside Golf Course.
