TREMPEALEAU, Wis. - Sydney Grimm shot a six-over 77 to win the Viterbo Spring Invite at Trempealeau Mountain by three strokes to lead the Blue Devils to a second place finish in the first competition of the spring season.
The Blue Devils shot a 342, finishing seven shots behind UW-Lacrosse for second place. Grimm shot a 38 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine to shoot a six over par 77 to win by three strokes.
Madeline Kiley tied for eighth with a 16 over 87, shooting a 40 on the front nine and 47 on the back.
Abby Terada (42-47) and
Cassie Santelman (45-44) tied for 11th place with a 18 over 89.
Hallie Tulip shot a 51-50-101 to place 35th.
Playing individually,
Liz Rohl (50-44) and
Whitney Sonsalla (46-48) tied for 21st with a 23 over 94.
Andrea Smith shot a 51-57-108 to place 39th.

The Blue Devils will compete next weekend at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling in Normal, Ill. The two-day event will take place at the Ironwood Golf Course April13 and 14.
