HASTINGS, Minn. - The UW-Stout women's golf team opened the spring golf season with a sixth place finish at the Gustie Spring Invite at Emerald Greens Saturday.
Kendra Swanson nailed her first hole-in-one to pace the team.
Swanson aced the par three sixth hole and finished five over par to lead the Blue Devils. She shot a 77 in just 18 holes to tie for fifth place as the tournament was limited to one day due to inclement weather. She added nine pars and a birdie.
Abbey Filipiak tied for 18th with a nine-over 81.
Liz Rohl tied for 17th with a 16-over 88.
Cassie Santelman shot a 90 to finish 45th.
Grace Warrner tied for 46 with a 91.
Hallie Tulip tied for 52nd with a 93.
Madeline Kiley finished 61st with a 96 and
Andrea Smith shot a 99 to finish 64th.
The Blue Devils will be back in action next weekend when they travel to White Bear Lake, Minn, to compete at the Rumble at the Ridge hosted by Bethel University at the Oneka Ridge Golf Course.
