Division III Midwest Classic
HASTINGS, Minn. (September 18, 2022) - UW-Stout made a run on the second day of competition at the Division III Midwest Classic at Emerald Greens Golf Club Sunday. The Blue Devils came into the second day in ninth place, but finished the meet in a tie for fifth.
Each of the five players did not lose any strokes on day two, with four players taking off strokes as Stout played 12 strokes below the first day.
Abbey Filipiak tied for ninth, playing a consistent 76 on both days, finishing with a 152. Â
Kendra Swanson tied for 15th, hitting a 79 on day one, but chopping off four strokes for a 75 on day two and a two-day total of 154.
Sydney Grimm tied for 47th, lopping off six strokes from the first day. Grimm hit a first-day 85 and tallied a 79 Sunday to finish at 164.Â
Hallie Tulip tied for 52nd with an 84-82 to finish with a 166.Â
Liz Rohl tied for 77th, hitting an 88-85 for a total of 173.Â
Individually,
Madeline Kiley tied for 85th (90-87 - 177) and
Andrea Smith tied for 101st (98-103 - 207).
The Blue Devils will be at the St. Catherine Invitational, Sept. 24-25 at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Stillwater, Minn.Â
