UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge
OSHKOSH (February 19, 2022) - A week ago,
Mackenzie Huber broke the school shot put record that stood for 20 years. Saturday, Huber broke her own record the stood for just a week when she won the event at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge.
Huber broke her own record of 46-feet, 9-inches when she paced the field of 41 throwers by more than a foot with a mark of 46-10.75. Huber also finished fourth in the weight throw with a personal-best throw of 55-11.25. Huber was coming off back-to-back days of competition. She had competed at the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Challenge the day before.
Hannah Zastrow and
Hannah Miller captured first place finishes, Zastrow in the 60-hurdles (8.81 seconds) and Miller in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 18-feet, 6-inches, two inches short of the school record. Zastrow finished second in the high jump with a mark of 5-3.25.
Emily Cunningham was first of 36 runners in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:16.03, a time that is now fourth on the school all-time list. McKayla Felton was fourth in the 3K (10:42.28) and
Libby Meyer was eighth (10:56.28).
Mariah Lang was third in the high jump with a career-best leap of 5-1.25.
Caitlin Harrison was fourth in the 60-hurdles (9.50).
Grace Maurer was fifth in the 200-meter with a time of 26.13.
Kiley Lehman was eighth in the 400-meter (1:01.80).
Sydney Reisner was sixth in the 800 (2:23.52). Arely Jamie Luevano finished fifth in the mile (5:21.93).
Abi Weishoff was fifth in the pole vault (10-6.25).
Jenna Driscoll was sixith in the long jump (17-5.50).
Demi Ploor was sixth in the shot put (42-0.75).
As a team, Stout finished second of five teams with 92 points.
Huber and Ploor also competed in the shot put at the
University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open Friday. Huber was fifth (46-1.50) and Ploor was eighth (41-6.50).
