A LOOK AT THE 2021-22 BLUE DEVILS
  • Stout has played some high-scoring basketball and the Blue Devils are currently 11th in the nation with 87.3 points per game.
  • This high scoring offense is highlighted by four Blue Devils who are scoring double digits on the season. Lovell Williams (18.8 ppg), Armani Tinsley (15.5), Jon Ciriacks (11.8), Brody Fox (11.0). Fox cracks the top 5 of the WIAC with 62-percent field goal efficiency (88 for 142). Luke Geiger is right on the edge of averaging double digits, scoring 9.9 per game.
  • Lovell Williams has scored in double digits in 20 games in a row, with a total 21 of 22 games he has appeared in this season. Williams still scored six points in only five minutes during the one game he was below the margin. Williams cracked his career-high scoring with 31 points against Buena Vista University. Williams was on a five-game streak where he was scoring over 20 points a game, but the streak came to an end as he was one point shy against UW-Eau Claire, finishing with 19 points. Williams did record 10 assists against the Blugolds, his third double-digit assist game of the season. Williams is averaging 5.6 assists per game, the best in the WIAC.
  • Armani Tinsley has continued to find the basket this season, breaking double-digits in the past 15 games, recording a career-high 31 points in the win against Eau Claire. Tinsley also has recorded 62 assists on the season, placing him seventh in the WIAC with 2.7 assists per game.
  • Williams and Tinsley aren't just offensive  threats, they rank first and second in the WIAC in steals per game with 2.0 and 1.8 respectively.
  • The 2021-22 Blue Devils broke Stout's single game scoring record which had been held since 1971 (the 1986 team tied the record). Stout defeated the visiting Greenville Panthers, a team known for their high-scoring games, 125-119. Brody Fox connected on two late game free throws to put this Blue Devil team into the record books. The next time out, the Blue Devils scored 108 points in a win over Finlandia.
  • The Blue Devils experienced their first overtime game of the season in their first meeting against UW-Eau Claire. The last time Stout had an overtime game was in the 2018-19 season where Stout lost to McMurry University, 79-75. But this past matchup needed two overtimes to decide a winner. The last time the Blue Devils went into double overtime was in the 1999-2000 season where they lost to Stevens Point, 89-84.
