This Week in Blue Devils Athletics: Nov. 14

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Blue Devils will look to rebound from a season opening loss to Gustavus last week when they welcome Bethany Lutheran to the Johnson Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Nov. 15.. Amanda Giesen leads the team with 13 points, and Ragan Sorensen has 12. Stout is shooting 36.4 percent from the field.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Blue Devils are 1-2 on the young season and will head to Illinois for a pair of games this weekend. Brody Fox tied a career-high with 42 points on 15-23 shooting in the win over Northland. In three games played in the opening week he averaged 23.7 points per game. Stout is shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from 3-point range.

HOCKEY

After a four game homestand the 5-1-0 Blue Devils will hit the road to begin WIAC play. The travel to Stevens Point to face the Pointers on Friday and Superior to face the Yelowjackets onb Saturday.
The Blue Devils are currently ranked third in the NCAA DII Pairwise rankings. Stout is averaging 5.2 goals a game with a power play clipping along at a 34.8 percent. The Stout defense is allowing 2.2 goals a game and the penalty kill is 95.7 percent.

CROSS COUNTRY

The Blue Devil men's cross country team will head to East Lansing, Mich. to compete in the NCAA DII National championship. The men are coming off of a fourth place finish at the North Regional last weekend. Spencer Schulz and Matthew Ryan finished 8th and 9th overall Ian Williams finished in 17th to earn All-Region honors.
