AMES, Iowa (January 8, 2010) -
Naomi DeLara (Jr, Kahului, Hawaii) tied for second on the balance beam and UW-Stout increased their team score from their season opener as the faced off against NCAA Division I Iowa State Friday.
DeLara was the only Blue Devil to crack into the top five places on any of the individual events as she scored a 9.725 on the beam. DeLara tied for fifth on the floor exercise with a score of 9.475.
The Blue Devils scored 173.675 points, well over their season opening score of 164.10.
Meghan Hargens (Sr, Rosemount, Minn) was third on the all-around with a 37.375.
Stout is off until Monday, Jan. 18 when they travel to Hamline University.
