WINONA, Minn. – The UW-Stout gymnastics team placed eighth at the WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional, Saturday at McCown Gymnasium, finishing with a team score of 186.300.
UW-Oshkosh captured the conference championship with a score of 195.175, followed by UW-Whitewater (193.825) and UW-La Crosse (193.100).
The Blue Devils recorded a team score of 47.625 on the vault.
Kadyn Swank led the lineup with a 9.650 to tie for 14th overall, while
Jessica Qualich posted a 9.625 and
Jaidyn Carroll added a 9.525.
On uneven bars,
Jamie Beatty delivered one of the top performances of the meet, scoring a 9.750 to tie for third overall.
Sarah Lutz added a 9.475 and
Katelyn Jossie scored a 9.075 as Stout totaled 45.700 on the event.
The Blue Devils scored 45.000 on balance beam, highlighted by Beatty's team-best 9.650, which tied for 21st overall.
Cassidy Lennard followed with a 9.250 and
Cora Cardellino posted an 8.950.
Stout had its strongest event of the night on the floor exercise, recording a 47.975 team score. Beatty again paced the lineup with a 9.700, while
Kaylie Kassing scored a 9.625 and
Kendra Henige and
Anna Mielke each recorded 9.550 routines.
Beatty led the Blue Devils in the all-around competition, finishing with a score of 38.525, the fifth highest in school history, after posting marks of 9.425 on vault, 9.750 on bars, 9.650 on beam and 9.700 on floor.
