MENOMONIE (November 25, 2009) - Basketball junkies can get their fill this weekend as the UW-Stout men's and women's basketball programs will host the annual Quality Inn & Suites Turkey Shootout, Saturday, Nov. 28 and Sunday, Nov. 29 in Johnson Fieldhouse.
The games will mark the home openers for both Stout's men's and women's programs.
On the women's side, Wartburg College and the College of St. Benedict will tangle at 1 p.m., Saturday. Stout will host St. Scholastica at 5 p.m.
On the men's side, Mount Mercy College and Marian University will meet at 3 p.m., while Stout will entertain Northland College at 7 p.m.
Championship day is Sunday, with the women's consolation game at 11 a.m., followed by the men's consolation game at 1 p.m. The women's championship game will be at 3 p.m., with the men's championship game at 5 p.m.
The Stout men's and women's programs both won the tournament championship game last season.
All of the games will be available in Live Stats and in a live video stream. Box scores and a short recap of each game will be posted on the tournament website.
