NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) recognized 256 student-athletes across Division III with selection to its 2026 All-Region teams, and University of Wisconsin-Stout midfielder
Mai Nou Vang made program history by earning Second Team All-West Region honors.
Vang becomes the first player in UW-Stout women's lacrosse history to receive IWLCA All-Region recognition.
A senior midfielder from Green Bay, Wis., Vang put together one of the most dominant individual seasons in program history and was previously named First Team All-WIAC.
Vang led the WIAC in draw controls per game (7.21, 11th nationally), free-position goals per game (0.79, 31st nationally), goals per game (4.00, 17th nationally), shots per game (8.36, 14th nationally), and shots on goal per game (6.71, fifth nationally). She also ranked second in the conference in total goals (56) and points per game (5.29, 36th nationally), fourth in total points (74, 93rd nationally), and third in free-position percentage (.579).
Vang recorded five games with six or more goals and posted eight or more draw controls in seven contests during the season. She tallied 10 draw controls twice and established a school record with 13 draw controls in a single game.
Her 101 draw controls this season set a new UW-Stout single-season record. Vang also established program single-season records in goals, assists, points, and draw controls.
With the all-region selection, Vang is now eligible for IWLCA All-American consideration. The IWLCA will announce the 2026 Division III All-America teams on May 22.
