THIS WEEK IN BLUE DEVIL ATHLETICS: JAN. 26-FEB. 1

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Blue Devils fell 72-50 to La Crosse on Wednesday before rebounding for a 78-77 road win over No. 16 Oshkosh on Saturday.

Collin Vick averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.5 steals, while shooting 52.4 percent from the floor and posting an assist-turnover ratio of 3.3 in two games last week. He scored 10 points with 7 rebounds and 7 assists against La Crosse. Then, in the road game at No. 16 Oshkosh, he scored a career-high 15 points (6-8, 75%), pulled down 12 rebounds for the double-double, and dished out six more assists in Stout's come-from-behind win against the Titians.

Stout will travel to UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 8:05 p.m. in the Sonnetag Center.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Blue Devils dropped a pair of games this week, falling 73-80 at La Crosse on Wednesday and 49-75 to No. 3 UW-Oshkosh on Saturday

Stout will travel to UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 6:05 p.m. in the Sonnetag Center.

MEN'S ICE HOCKEY

TThe Blue Devil hockey team split a home-and-home series with UW-Stevens Point this weekend. The Blue Devils won 2-1 in overtime at home before falling 3-1 in Stevens Point the following night.

Sebastian Monaco made 45 saves with a .938 save percentage and a 1.49 GAA, going 1-1 in the two games against Stevens Point.

The Blue Devils will host Beloit College this weekend for a pair of games. Puck drop at the Fanetti Community Center is set for 7 p.m. on both Friday, January 30th, and Saturday, January 31st.

GYMNASTICS

The Blue Devil gymnastics team dropped a dual meet at Winona State, 188.750-183.925.

 Jessica Qualich won the vault at the dual meet, tying her season-high of 9.700. This is her second apparatus win this season. 

Stout will host Hamline University this Friday, January 30, in their home opener. The meet starts at 6 p.m. in the Johnson Fieldhouse.

INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The University of Wisconsin-Stout men's and women's indoor track and field teams kicked off the 2026 indoor season at the Pat Healy Classic in La Crosse on Saturday.

Thomas Casey shattered the school record in the 60M Hurdles at the Pat Healy Classic with a time of 8.09. That performance currently ranks 3rd in the conference and 8th in the nation.

Leah Zastrow delivered a winning vault of 4.11m (13’5.75”) in the pole vault at the Pat Healy Classic. Her performance ranks 1st in the conference and nation, and set the meet record, facility record, and UW-Stout school record. The vault also ranks 10th indoors in D3 history.

The Blue Devils will host the Warren Bowlus Open this weekend. Multi-events begin Friday, January 30th at 3:00 p.m., continuing at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31st. Track and field events start around noon on Saturday.
