The Blue Devils concluded the regular season with a hard-fought 29-19 loss to No. 4 UW-River Falls.
Davonte Evans recorded six receptions for 104 yards, marking his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season. He hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass in the back corner of the end zone to pull Stout within a 19-13 score with one minute remaining in the third quarter.
Blaine Seidl led the Blue Devil defense with 15 total tackles (9 solo). He also recorded a tackle for loss, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, had two pass breakups, and blocked a PAT.
The UW-Stout team will participate in the fifth annual Culver's Isthmus Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 22. The Blue Devils will face Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) at 2 p.m. at Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field in Sun Prairie, Wis.
Stout finished the regular season with a 5-5 overall record and a 3-4 mark in WIAC play. WashU enters the game with an 8-2 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the CCIW. This will be the first meeting between the programs, with Stout making its second consecutive Isthmus Bowl appearance and WashU making its third.
