This Week in Blue Devils Athletics: Nov. 10-16

FOOTBALL

The 5-4, 3-3 Blue Devils fourth quarter comeback fell just short Saturday at UW-Platteville. 

Trailing 24-10 early in the fourth quarter, the Blue Devils rallied behind senior quarterback Adam Moen, who scored three rushing touchdowns, including a two-yard run with 42 seconds remaining to bring Stout within one. However, the 2-point conversion attempt was no good. Stout recovered the onside kick and the potential game-winning 43-yard field goal attempt as time expired sailed wide, sealing the narrow Pioneer victory.

Jojo James returned four kickoffs for 105 yards including a long return of 41 yards. He is 12th in the nation in kick return average (29.6 yards a return)

The Blue Devils will wrap up the regular season next weekend when they host UW-River Falls on Saturday, Nov. 15 for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Don and Nona Williams Stadium

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Blue Devil women's Basketball team split a pair of games at the season opening tip-off tournament in Eau Claire.

Stout fell 80-59 to Ripon College, before bouncing back with a 74-56 win over Lakeland.

Brooklyn Birt averaged 7 points, 8 boards while shooting 60% in two games to open the season. She recorded her first double-double (10p, 10r) in Stout's win over Lakeland and added a block in each game.

Stout will host #13 Bethel University on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in their home opener. Tip-off from the Johnson fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m.

The Blue Devils will then travel to Moorhead, Minn. on Sunday, Nov. 16 for a 2 p.m. game with Concordia Moorhead.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Blue Devil men's basketball team opend the 2025-26 campaign with a 89-48 win over Oak Hills Christian Saturday. 

Domanyck led the Blue Devils with a career-high 22 points on 6-9 shooting. He was 6-8 from beyond the arc and 4-4 from the line in just 18 minutes on the court. 

Stout will travel to St. Paul, Minn. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 to face Macalester College. Tip-off from the Leonard Center is set for 7 p.m.

MEN'S HOCKEY

The Blue Devils split a pair of road games to open the 2025-26 season. Falling 4-1 at Saint Mary's and topping Hamline 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. 

Freshman Arhip Sidarovich scored the overtime winner and freshman Evan Luxford assisted on the games first goal and the OT winner. 

Stout will host bethel University on Friday, Nov. 15 and Saint John's on Saturday Nov. 16. Puck drop from Fanetti Community Center is set for 7 p.m. both nights. 

CROSS COUNTRY

The Blue Devil men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the NCAA North Regional at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. on Saturday, Nov. 15. 

Claudia Lasiowski placed 6th at the WIAC Championship will compete for the regional title and a trip to the National Championship meet.

The men's 8k race will start at 12 p.m. with the women's 6k race following at 1 p.m.
