NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Blue Devil men's cross country team raced to a third place finish and the women placed fourth at the St. Olaf Invitational Saturday morning.
The 24
th ranked UW-Stout's men's team took third in a deep 8k field of 22 teams. Stout scored 71 points with their top five finishers crossing the line 38 seconds apart.
Matthew Thomas paced the Blue Devils, finishing seventh overall in a time of 25:57.
Casey Deboth placed 11
th with a time of 26:00.
Andrew Carlson took 15
th and
Eli Marszalek was 17
th both crossing the line in 26:07.
Damon Zielke finished in 26:35 to place 25
th.
Arely Jaime Luevano led the 30
th ranked Blue Devil women to a fourth place finish in the 6k race. Luevano placed eighth overall with a time of 23:11.
Brekkyn Lammert took ninth with a time of 23:20.
Olivia Donohue was 26
th with a time of 24:16.
Nikki Harrison was 68
th, crossing the line in 25:19 and
Arlie Kapaun was 75
th with a 25:39.

The Blue Devils will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 4 when they run at the Blugold Invite at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. The women race at 4:15 p.m. and the men follow at 5:15 p.m.
