STEVENS POINT – Blue Devil women race to 2
nd place in the WIAC, men finish 6
th as both teams compete at the Cross Country Conference Championships.
Brekkyn Lammert,
Arely Jaime Luevano, and
Mckayla Felton earned All-WIAC honors, placing 2
nd, 3
rd, and 7
th, respectively. Lammert earned her second-place finish with an impressive time of 21:24. Luevano finished just two seconds behind Lammert, securing 3
rd place overall. Felton recorded a time of 21:41, just .2 seconds behind the 6
th place finisher from Eau Claire.
The trio of Lammert, Luevano, and Felton paced the Blue Devil women with their great times, and it didn't stop there.
Claudia Lasiowski placed 26th with a 22:31.
Olivia Donohue posted a 22:48 time earning a top 40 finish in a competitive championship field.
Nikki Harrison and
Jorie Anderson round out the Blue Devils top 5 times, as Harrison ran to a 24:13 time, and Anderson finished just one second behind her, clocking in at 24:14.
Olivia Donohue was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Matthew Thomas paced the Blue Devil men to a sixth-place team finish with126 points. He ran the 8k with a time of 24:53 to finish 23rd.
Andrew Carlson was just behind Thomas, finishing just one second behind, securing a 24
th overall finish.
Eli Marszalek and
Colin Hanson were the next Blue Devil duo to cross the finish line, Marszalek finishing 31
st with a time of 25:04, and Hanson finishing 33
rd with a time of 25:07.
Nick Stitzer made it five Blue Devils in the top 50, coming in at 41
st, with a time of 25:13.
Tyler Rislov just missed the top 50, running to a 51
st place finish with a time of 25:22.
Damon Zielke was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

The Blue Devils will travel to Decorah, Iowa to compete at the Luther Saga Cup. The Blue Devil women will be racing first, at 3:15 p. m., followed by the men race at 4:00 p.m.
