MENOMONIE – University of Wisconsin-Stout Director of Athletics Duey Naatz has announced the hiring of Mikayla Knudson as the Blue Devils Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.
"We are excited to welcome Mikayla to the Blue Devil family," Naatz said. "Her knowledge and overall vision and excitement for the future of the program stood out in the interview process and we are excited to see our lacrosse program continue to grow under her leadership."
Knudson joins the Blue Devils with 14 years of coaching and playing experience. Last season, she served as interim head coach at Augsburg University. After spending two seasons there as an assistant coach.
She has coached at Elk River High School in Minnesota for four seasons and the Elk River Youth Association for eight years.
Collegiately, she played four years for the Auggies, tallying 90 goals, 17 assists for 107 career points. She earned second-team All-MWLC honors in 2021. She tied program single game records in 2019 with nine points and seven goals.
