ROCK ISLAND, ILL. – The UW-Stout men's and women's track field competed at the Augustana Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier in a final tune-up before the national championship meet.
Nate Karau had a personal best 51.34 meter (168' 5") throw to place third in the men's discus to earn a qualifying spot in the upcoming national championships. His throw moved him up to the 17
th best throw in the country this year. He also placed sixth in the javelin throw with a season best throw of 53.96 meters (177' 6").
Hannah Zastrow ran a 13.91 in the prelims of the women's 100-meter hurdles. She placed second overall in the finals with a 14.11. She also placed third in the high jump with mark of 1.69 meters.
Kaden Martin finished seventh overall in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.49 seconds.
Lilly Roberts took fifth in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.79.
Connor Walechka placed third in the men's hammer throw with a throw of 58.69 meters (192' 2").
Sam Knox placed sixth in the men's pole vault with a vault of 4.75 meters.
Leah Zastrow took fourth in the women's pole vault with a vault of 3.80 meters.

The Blue Devils will compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships May 23-25 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Top-22 in each event qualify for the national Championship. Stout has seven individuals in nine events with marks in the top-22. The official national qualifying list will be released tonight at 8 p.m.
