MADISON - UW-Stout's Mackensie Wolterstorff was named softball pitcher of the week and Briana Brenteson was named women's lacrosse defender for the week of April 8-14
Mackensie Wolterstorff, a senior Righthanded pitcher from Mounds View, Minn., totaled 23.2 innings pitched in four games during the week. She pitched two complete games with an ERA of 1.48. Wolterstorff allowed 18 hits, 12 runs (5 earned) and recorded 18 strikeouts. At UW-Superior on April 9, she pitched 13 innings (including 6 innings of relief in a 12-inning marathon) and allowed just six hits and three earned runs. At No. 15-ranked UW-Whitewater, she pitched the Blue Devils to a 2-1 victory in game two, allowing seven hits and striking out five. She also scored the game-winning run.
Briana Brenteson, a freshman defender from Monticello, Minn. 14 ground balls, and eight caused turnovers in games against Marian University (Wis.) and UW-River Falls
