Crymble, Mathews Named WIAC Kwik Trip Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week

MADISON - UW-Stout's Emma Mathews and Ally Crymble were named WIAC Kwik Trip women's lacrosse athletes of the week for March 11-17. 

Emma Matthews, freshman attacker from Becker, Minn., was named offensive player of the week. She set a program record with 10 goals in the 20-11 win over Augustana College (Ill.) on March 16. She totaled 11 shots on goal for 10 goals, including the game winner, and an assist. In two games during the week, Matthews totaled 12 goals, an assist for 13 points with 13 of her 16 shots on goal. She also had three ground balls and a draw control. 

Ally Crymble, a senior midfielder from Champlin, Minn., was named defender of the week. She totaled nine ground balls, nine draw controls and had three caused turnovers. She added five goals, one assist for six points in UW-Stout's two games during week, Against Augustana College (Ill.), she had six ground balls and four draw controls and 2 caused turnovers to go with four goals in the 20-11 win.
