Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Emma Mathews scored 10 goals to lead the Blue Devils to a 20-11 win over Augustana College Saturday afternoon.
Mathews set a school record for individual goals in a game with 10 and helped the team set a program record for most goals in a game with 20 as Stout improved to 3-2.
The Blue Devils struck first at 8:51 when
Ally Crymble scored a player down to give Stout a 1-0 lead. Augustana tied the game a minute later. Goals came quickly for Stout Mathews scored her first of four in the quarter at 6:25 to kick start four goals in 1:57 for Stout to give the Blue Devils a 6-1 lead after the first quarter of play.
Augustana scored three-straight to open the second quarter to pull within two at 6-4. Mathews then scored two in 65 seconds just before the half to give Stout a 8-4 halftime lead. Augustana again opened the third with a pair of goals to pull back within two at 8-6. But that was as close as they would get as the Blue Devils scored four goals in 3:16 to take a 12-7 lead after three quarters of play.
Loryn Tornell and Crymble scored in between two more Matthews goals.
Stout broke the game open in the fourth, scoring four goals in a 3:12 stretch to build a 17-8 lead. Mathews tallied her 10th og the game with just under a minute to play on a pass from Allison Zwetler who recorded her first collegiate point. Zwettler then scored her first career goal with four seconds left in regulation.
Mathews finished with 10 goals and an assist on 13 shots.
Ally Crymble scored four goals.
Lilly Thomas scored two goals and had an assist and
Megan Palmer added two goals.
Katt Squire made 18 saves in the win.

The Blue Devils will return home to host University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Wednesday, March 20. The game is set to start at 5 p.m. on Nelson Field.
