MENOMONIE - The University of Wisconsin-Stout men's and women's track & field team will send five individuals to compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships next weekend in Rochester N.Y.
Mason Barth,
Jack Roeber,
Kaden Martin,
Karter Rashke and
Raegan Sorensen will all compete for a national championship.Â
Barth, who finished second in nation in the indoor championships earlier this year in the heptathlon, will compete in the decathlon. He holds the seventh best points in the nation with 6610.Â
Martin enters the championship meet with the best time in the region in the 110 meter hurdles (14.33 seconds).
Roeber qualified in the triple jump when he set the school record with a mark of 14.61 meters (47' 11.25").
Rashke qualified in the shot put with a personal best throw of 16.06 meters (52' 8.25").Â
Sorensen qualified in the women's javelin with a personal best throw of 41.46 meters (136' 0").Â
The meet gets underway from Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, N.Y. at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 25.
Barth will start the decathlon 9 a.m. both Thursday and Friday. Sorensen will compete in the javelin at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Rashke throws in the shot put 12 p.m. and Martin will run the 110 meter hurdles prelims at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 26. Roeber will compete in the triple jump at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 27.
