Roeber Sets School Triple Jump Record at Dick Johnson Invite

EAU CLAIRE - Jack Roeber broke a school record in the triple jump at the Dick & Mary Johnson Invite at the Simpson Field Sports Complex Friday afternoon. 

Roeber's jump of 14.61 meters (47' 11.25") came on his sixth attempt of the meet and broke a 10-year old record  of 14.57 meters set by Nick Lubinski in 2013. 

The Blue Devils had a solid performance prepping for next weekend's WIAC Championships claiming 71 top-ten finishes and five event wins. 

The women's relay teams recorded a pair of third place finishes. Kaylie Raths, Jenna Driscoll, Ava DeBaker, and Caitlin Harrison ran the 4x100 with a time of 49.20. Sydney Reisner, Chloe Smiley, Olivia Donohue, and Mckayla Felton ran the 4x400 with a time of 4:16.11.. The men's 4x100 relay team of Dylan Edland, Keegan Pulchinski, Nathan Skroch, Carter Wente finished second with a time of 42.13.

Keegan Pulchinski finished fifth in the men's 400-meters with a time of 49.63 and teammate Owen Jelinek was just .30 seconds behind in sixth with a time of 49.93.

Casey Deboth finished fourth in the men's 800-meters with a time of 1:58.06. Brekkyn Lammert took fifth in the women's 800 with a time of 2:17.77 and Hannah Daws placed seventh in a time of 2:20.20.

Lance Pfrimmer took second in the men's 1500-meters with a time of 3:58.64. Nels Trandahl placed sixth (4:07.95) and Xander McFaul finished seventh (4:12.04).

In the men's 5000-meters, Damon Zielke finished fifth (15:42.04), Eric Neuwirth (16:02.67) took sixth and Mateo Meza-Melendez (16:22.19) finished seventh. 

Kaden Martin easily won the the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.79 seconds. Carter Wente (15.27) placed third, Noah Beck (15.55) placed fourth, Nolan Zachgo (15.68) took seventh and Dylan Edland (15.75) took eighth. 

In the women's 100 meter hurdles, Lilly Roberts placed third with a time of 15.11 seconds. Caitlin Harrison took fourth with a time of 15.21.

In the men's 400 meters, Nolan Zachgo placed seventh with a time of 58.98. Kayle Raths placed third in the women's race 1:06.08. and Lily Roberts took sixth 1:09.88.

The Blue Devil men swept the 3000-meter steeplechase. Tyler Rislov won with a time of 9:34.40. Alex Suelflow took second (9:37.53). and Max Bailey took third (9:40.40).

Noah Flood Elyafi took second in the men's high jump with a hieght of 1.90 meters. Matthew Binstock and Ethan Rupakus tied for seventh with a jump of 1.80 meters. 

Tegan Roder and Claire Michaelson tied for seventh in the women's high jump with a jump of 1.48 meters. 

Raegan Sorensen won the women's pole vault with a height of 3.71 meters. Abi Weishoff placed eighth (3.26 meters).

Riley Hibner placed fourth in the men's pole vault (4.36 meters). Triton Robey placed fifth (4.21 meters) and Mason Petrowitz took seventh (4.06 meters).

Jenna Driscoll won the women's long jump with a jump of 5.48 meters (17' 11.75"). Ashtyn Gagner finished seventh (4.76 meters) and LaRissa Block took eighth (4.73 meters). 

Noah Flood Elyafi took fifth in the men's long jump with a jump of 6.72 meters.

Following Roeber in the triple jump, Matthew Binstock took fifth (12.95 meters), Frank Ochtrup-DeKeyrel placed sixth (12.41 meters) and Jonathan Loera took seventh (12.20 meters).

Kehau Phillips placed sixth int he women's triple jump (10.89 meters), Ally Amundson took eighth (10.55 meters). 

Karter Rashke placced fifth in the men's shot put with a throw of 13.87 meters. 

Tony Kuehl placed fifth in the men's discus with a throw of 41.25 meters. Jesse Fowler took seventh (40.41 meters).

Connor Walechka took fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 51.11 meters. Isaac Kraus (47.38 meters) placed sixth. Tony Kuehl (43.45 meters) cam in eighth. 

Raegan Sorensen placed third in the women's javelin with a throw of 3873 meters. 

Charlie Maier placed fifth in the men's javelin (43.04 meters). Nathan Skroch (42.83 meters) took sixth. Tony Kuehl (41.11 meters) placed seventh and Alex Suelflow placed eighth with a throw of 39.82 meters. 

The Blue Devils will be back in action next weekend May 5-6 at the WIAC Outdoor Championships in Whitewater, Wis.
