LA CROSSE, WIS. - The UW-Stout men's track and field team opened the 2023 indoor season with a second place finish at the Pat Healy Classic hosted by UW-La Crosse Saturday afternoon.
Spencer Schultz led the Blue Devils in the mile, winning with a personal best time of 4:14.18.
Lance Pfrimmer took third with a personal best time of 4:14.71.
Matthew Ryan finished seventh with a personal best 4:20.21.
Kaden Martin finished third in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.45 seconds.
Mason Barth was just behind with a time of 8.45.
Dylan Edland took sixth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.18, Joseph Gardner took eighth, crossing the line in 7.34 seconds.
Nathan Skroch paced Stout in the 200 meters with eighth place finish with a time of 23.42 seconds.
Carter Wente finished in ninth with a time of 23.91 and Tyson Coy came in 11th with a time of 25.46.
Owen Jelinek took fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 50.28 seconds
Noah Flood Elyafi took third in the high jump with a height of 1.85 meters.
Mason Barth and Matthew Binstock each had jump of 1.80 meters.
Barth took third in the pole vault with a height of 4.33 meters.
Jacob Tomazevic placed sixth with a height of 4.33 meters.
Jack Roeber placed fifth with a jump of 6.61 meters.
Karter Rashke took second in the shot put with a throw of 14.39 meters.
Isaac Kraus placed fifth (12.85 meters) and Joey Lanoux took sixth (12.32 meters).
In the weight throw,
Connor Walechka took second with a throw of 17.05 meters and
Nate Karau placed third with a throw of 15.08 meters.
The Blue Devils will be in action next weekend when the host the Warren Bowlus Open. Friday, Jan. 27 events get underway at 3 p.m. and on Saturday, Jan. 28 the events start at 12 p.m.
