MENOMONIE (June 27, 2022) – Thirty-six UW-Stout student-athletes have been selected to the 2021-22 Blue Devil Academic Top Scholar list for compiling the highest grade point average during the 2021-22 academic school year in their respective sports.
Five seniors, five junior, 11 sophomores and 15 freshmen across the 19 sports comprise the 2021-22 Blue Devil Academic Scholar list, which is the seventh year the list has been compiled. The grade point average (GPA) is determined from the fall and spring semesters, along with the January term.
For the academic school year, 347 of 547 NCAA certified UW-Stout student-athletes compiled a GPA of 3.0 or better; 206 had a GPA of 3.5 or better; and 41 had a 4.0 for the school year. The combined student-athlete GPA (3.31) exceeded the general student body GPA (3.11) for the 12th consecutive school year.
