THIS SEASON: The COVID-19 pandemic forced all sports to rethink their schedule and
WIAC gymnastics will have four meets beginning in late February and ending in early April. The Blue Devils will open at Gustavus Adolphus College, Friday, Feb. 26, then host a pair of meets - UW-Whitewater, Saturday, March 13 at 4 p.m. and Hamline University, Saturday, March 20 at 5 p.m. - before closing out the season Thursday, April 1 at UW-Eau Claire at 5 p.m. Fans will not be allowed during the 2021 season. The WIAC Championship has been canceled, as has the NCGA Championship for the second consecutive year. None of the teams in the NCGA's East Regional were conducting competive seasons this winter.
A LOOK AT THE BLUE DEVILS
- The Blue Devils finished fourth at the 2020 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional.
- Stout won their first ever WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional title in 2019 and finished second at the 2019 NCGA Championship, their best-ever finish.
- Four Blue Devils earned NCGA All-America awards for the 2020 season - Shadae Boone, Brooke Terry, Britney Wolfe and Belle Ihde.
- The Blue Devils have four seniors, two juniors, four sophomores and five freshmen on their 2021 roster.

UW-STOUT LAST TIME OUT:
- Fourteen varsity spots were filled by freshmen as UW-Stout opened their season with a 181.875-177.050win over Gustavus Adolphus College Feb. 26. In the opening rounds, the Blue Devils took four of the five top spots on the vault, three of the top four spots on the uneven bars, the top three spots on the balance beam and two of the top four in the floor exercise. Freshman all-arounder Kiara Bruening captured the top spot on the vault with a 9.550. Senior Maddie Mullenbach tied for third with freshmen Kiara Brown and Jensen DeJong with a 9.30. Senior Olivia Rosenow led the way on the uneven bars with a 9.35, followed by Bruening in second (9.050). Sophomore Jenna Jones was fourth with an 8.750. Sophomore Carlie Beatty captured the beam with a score of 9.500, Bruening was second with a 9.450 and Genevieve Czapewski third with a 9.425. Gustavus finished one-two on the floor exercise. WIAC HONOR ROLL: In the lastest WIAC Honor Roll,
Kiara Bruening is third on the vault (9.55),
Olivia Rosenow is seventh on the uneven bars (9.35),
Carlie Beatty is sixth on the balance beam (9.50),
Kiara Brown is 13th on the floor exercise (9.275), and Bruening is fourth in the all-around (36.525). For the Warhawks, Meg McGinley is seventh on the vault (9.450), Blaise WIlson is third on the uneven bars (9.500), second on the balance beam (9.625) and first in the all-around (37.875) and Karina Sabol is first on the floor exercise (9.575).

UW-STOUT COACH BECKY BEAULIEU:
- Becky Beaulieu is in her 16th season in 2021 as the Blue Devil coach.
- Under Beaulieu's direction, UW-Stout gymnasts have earned 57 All-American awards and Beaulieu has coached national champions on the balance beam in 2008, the floor exercise in 2009, the uneven bars in 2010, the vault and floor exercise in 2011, the floor in 2015 and the vault in 2019. The 2019 team won the WIAC/NCGA Midwest Championship and finished second at the NCGA Championship.
- A UW-Stout gymnast has qualified and competed at the NCAA Division I regionals in 2009 at the University of Iowa, in 2010 at the University of Utah and in 2018 at the University of Minnesota.
- Beaulieu, competing as Becky McDonnell at UW-La Crosse from 1997-2001, captured back-to-back NCGA floor exercise titles in 1998 and 1999. She established a since-eclipsed school floor exercise record score of 9.8. A seven-time NCGA All-American, she also garnered all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors nine times. The Eagles, for which she was a two-year captain, won two NCGA titles during her competing days.
- Beaulieu has been named the WIAC Coach of Year three times - 2011, 2015 and 2019. She was the NCGA West Region Coach of the Year
- In 2012, Beaulieau was selected to the WIAC All-Time Gymnastics Team as the conference celebrated their 100th anniversary.
- Beaulieu was inducted into the UW-La Crosse Wall of Fame in 2016.
- Kj Wheeler joined the Blue Devil coaching staff in 2019, but joined the staff full-time for the 2020-21 school year.
