Blue Devil women's track & field team face top ranked Eagles

MENOMONIE (February 20, 2021) - UW-Stout faced top-ranked UW-La Crosse in a dual meet as the Blue Devils completed the home portion of their indoor track and field season Saturday.

Mackenzie Huber earned a first place finish in the shot put with a toss of 44-10.75 on her final throw of the afternoon. Huber was third in the weight throw with a personal best throw of 53-11. 

Jenna Driscoll and Mariah Lang each came home with a second place finish. Driscoll scored a personal best 35-11 in the triple jump and also scored a personal record with a sixth place finish in the triple jump (16-7). Lang was second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-11.

Grace Maurer (26.70) and Emma Bullard (26.93) had good times in the 200m. Isabella Jewell recorded a second place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:30.81. 

Saturday's meet marked the final home indoor meet for the Blue Devils this year. Stout will be at UW-River Falls, Saturday, Feb. 27. The Blue Devils are also expected to have multi-event performers at the UW-Stevens Point Multi, Feb. 24-25.
