earned indoor national championship in shot put...outdoor national championship in discus...second at indoor national championship in weight throw...eighth at outdoor national championship in shot put and discus
won the national discus title on first throw of the day with school record mark of 191-7, winning by nearly 13 feet....all of his marked distances would have won the national title
