WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Freshman guard Addy Verhagen led the Blue Devils to a 1-1 week, averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game while playing over 37 minutes per contest. Verhagen scored 13 points against UW-Stevens Point on Feb. 4, adding assists, a block, and a steal. She followed with a standout performance in Stout’s 66-53 road win at #9 UW-Whitewater on Feb. 7, finishing with 18 points on 5-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range. She added five rebounds, four assists, and two steals while helping hold the Warhawks to 29.8 percent shooting for the game and just 3 made field goals in the second half. For the week, Verhagen shot 45.5 percent from three-point range and 100 percent from the free-throw line (8-for-8), while averaging 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
Next up, Stout hosts UW-La Crosse on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 7:05 p.m. in the Johnson Fieldhouse. The Blue Devils then travel to Oshkosh on Saturday, Feb. 14, for a 3:05 p.m. tip-off against the #3 Titans.
