AUSTIN, Texas - University of Wisconsin-Stout's
Gillian Cummins was named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Women's Division III At-Large team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Cummins, a senior from Farmington, Mo., was named second-team Academic All-American for the second straight year. She competed in all 10 meets for the Blue Devil gymnastics team in 2025 and was the WIAC Champion in the All-Around with a career-best and second highest score in school history of 38.625. She was named the NCGA Senior Athlete of the Year. At the NCGA National Championships, she placed 5th in the all-around with a 38.275 and 5th in the uneven bars with a career best 9.700 to earn All-American honors. Cummins finished sixth in the nation in the All-Around with a seasonal average score (SAS) score of 37.893. A SAS Vault score of 9.625 with a high or 9.750. A SAS bars score of 9.612 with a high of 9.700. A SAS beam score of 9.612 with a high of 9.650. And a SAS floor score of 9.512 with a high of 9.600. She was also named WIAC All-Arounder of the Week twice.
The Division III at-large teams honored 45 student-athletes with eight members of the first team holding perfect 4.00 GPAs either as an undergraduate or a graduate student. A total of 19 of the 45 members have 4.00 GPAs. The 15-member first team has a 3.96 cumulative GPA.
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America® program.
