DECORAH, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils golf team captured the Luther Spring Classic title at Oneota Golf & Country Club. The Blue Devils secured the championship with a two-round total of 577 (289-288, +1) on the par-72, 6,534-yard course, winning by 13 strokes. Stout's B team also impressed, finishing sixth with a total of 602 (300-302) (+26).
Garrett Sigl claimed medalist honors carding a 71 in both rounds for a 142 two under par.
Dalton Anderson and Cameron Lee each shot a 73-70-143 one under to tie for second.
Andrew Bauer tied for sixth with a 73-72- 145 one over.
Trey Riley (72-76-148) tied for 13th with a plus four. Connor Lingren (74-76), Cole Noreen (75-75) and Casey Peters (76-64) tied for 17th with a six over 150. Matt Mueller shot a 77-82-159 and Connor Nelson shot a 77-85-162.
The Blue Devils are off until Friday May 2 when the travel to Middleton, Wis to compete at the Edgewood College Spring Quadrangular.
