Menomonie — The University of Wisconsin-Stout is proud to announce that six of its gymnasts have qualified for the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championships, scheduled for March 22, 2025, at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota.
Qualifying Athletes:
- Gillian Cummins: Qualified for the all-around competition winning the all-around at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship/NCGA West Regional, Cummins set a new program record with an all-around score of 38.625.
- Jamie Beatty: Also qualified for the all-around competition. Beatty delivered an outstanding performance at the WIAC Championship, achieving an all-around score of 38.600, surpassing the previous school-best mark.
- Effie Ferguson: Secured her spot on both the uneven bars and balance beam. She averaged a 9.7225 on the beam this season, twice scoring a 9.775. Ferguson is the 2024 WIAC champion on the balance beam and 2024 All-American. She also set a career-best 9.75 on the bars this season to help Stout set a school record 48.700.
- Isabela Krulich: Qualified for the floor exercise after tying for third on the floor at the WIAC Championships with a 9.800, tying the mark for the third highest score in school history. Krulich has been a consistent performer this season, showcasing her artistry and athleticism on the floor.
- Taylar Schaefer: Earned her place in the vault competition winning the WIAC with a career-high 9.800. Schaefer's powerful vaults have been a highlight throughout the season averaging 9.650 on the apparatus as well as receiving multiple WIAC All-Arounder of Week awards.
- Sarah Lutz: Qualified for the uneven bars. Lutz's precision and form have made her a standout on this apparatus averaging a 9.500 this season. She set a career high 9.750 helping Stout set a team record 48.700.
