ST. PETER, Minn. – The UW-Stout gymnastics team defeated Gustavus Adolphus in a dual meet 190.500 -183.350 Friday afternoon at the Sponberg Gymnastics Studio in the Lund Center.
The Blue Devils won the vault with a 47.575.
Taylar Schaefer placed second with a 9.650.
Gillian Cummins took third 9.575.
Gabrielle Winstead was fourth with 9.500 and
Jaidyn Carroll and
Anna Mielke tied for fifth with a 9.425.
The Blue Devils won the uneven bars with a 48.150. The second highest score in program history.
Emma Brittingham and
Sarah Lutz tied for first with a 9.725, which tied for the fourth best score in school history.
Effie Ferguson was third with a 9.675 and
Jamie Beatty was fourth with a 9.600
The Blue Devils won the balance beam with a 47.775.
Effie Ferguson tied for the fourth highest score in Stout history with a 9.775.
Isabela Krulich was second with a 9.700. Jaime Beatty and
Taylar Schaefer set career-highs with a 9.650.
Stout scored a 47.000 on the floor.
Effie Ferguson tied for third with a 9.650.
Jamie Beatty won the all-around with a 37.875 and Cummins was second with a socre of 37.275.

The Blue Devils will compete at the WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional on Saturday March 8 in La Crosse, Wis. Stout will compete in the evening session which will begin at 6 p.m. in Mitchell Hall Gymnasium.
