Emma Brittingham and
Gillian Cummins was named WIAC Kwik Trip Gymnasts of the Week for the week of Feb. 17-23.
Emma Brittingham, a senior from Orlando, Fla., set a school record with a 9.825 on the uneven bars in a tri meet with Winona State University (Minn.) and UW-Oshkosh on Feb. 20. She becomes the first Blue Devil to score over a 9.800 on the apparatus. Brittingham helped UW-Stout set school records on both the uneven bars and total score.
Gillian Cummins, a senior from Farmington, Mo., won the all-around with a season-high 38.000 in a tri-meet with Winona State University (Minn.) and UW-Oshkosh on Feb. 20. She scored a season-high 9.625 on the vault, tied a career-high on the uneven bars with a 9.625, scored a 9.250 on the balance beam and scored a 9.500 on the floor exercise. Cummins helped the Blue Devils set school records on the uneven bars and total score.
This is the second time this year and fourth time in her career Cummings has been named All-Arounder of the Week.
