This Week in Blue Devils Athletics: Oct. 13-19

THIS WEEK IN BLUE DEVIL ATHLETICS: OCT. 13-19

FOOTBALL

The Blue Devils scored 27 unanswered points in a 27-16 win over #11 UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. 

Adam Moen was 18-29 for 323 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for 19 yards and another score as the Blue Devils beat #11 UW-Oshkosh 27-16. Trailing 16-0 mid way through the 3rd quarter. Moen led the comeback with 27 unanswered points in the final 23 minutes of the game. He connected with Davonte Evans on a 60 TD Strike to get on the board. On the next possession he found Evans for 42 yards to set up the offense inside the 10. The next play he found Evans in the back corner to pull stout with in 3 at 16-13. In the fourth quarter Moen ran in from a yard out for the go ahead score. Then Moen then iced the game with a 58-yard strike to Avron Carter.

The Blue Devils are home Saturday, Oct. 11, hosting #11 UW-Oshkosh. Kickoff from Don and Nona Williams Stadium is set for 1:05 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL

The Blue Devils (13-6, 0-3) fell in straight sets on the road at St. Scholastica last week. 

The Blue Devils will host UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday, Oct. 15. First serve is set for 7 p.m. in the Johnson Fieldhouse. Stout will then travel to Northfield, Minn. to face St. Olaf on Friday Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

The Blue Devils rolled to a 4-0 win over Buena Vista and open WIAC play with a 1-1 draw against Platteville. 

Kayla White totaled 180 minutes 5 shots in two games this week (1-1 draw at UW-EC and 2-1 win over UW-Oshkosh). She scored game-winning goal against Oshkosh in the 63rd minute. Kaitlyn made 11 saves (.846 Save%) over two matches to help the Blue Devils go 1-0-1. She made 7 saves in a 1-1 draw at UWEC and made four saves in a 2-1 win at UW-Oshkosh to give Stout their first WIAC win since Oct. 2023.

The Blue Devils return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 15, when they travel to Appleton, Wis.to face Lawrence University. Kick-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Then they will return home on Saturday, Oct. 18 to face UW-La Crosse for a 2 p.m. start at Nelson Field. 

MEN'S SOCCER

The Blue Devils fell 4-1 at Saint Mary's and then dropped a tight home contest to UW-Whitewater 2-1.

Marwan Kaddah played 180 minutes as a freshman. Scored his first collegiate goal against Whitewater and created more than 10 chances over two games. Two very solid performances. 

Kevin Lowrey played 180 minutes putting forth two very good performances. Limited Whitewater to only 2 goals. Had over 95% pass percentage and was a very solid leader from the back as a freshman. 

The Blue Devils will travel to Stevens Point, Wis. on Friday, Oct. 17 to face the Pointers. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from the UWSP Turf Facility. 

WOMEN'S GOLF

Fresh off their first WIAC Championships since 2016, The Blue Devil women's golf team will close out the fall schedule at the Golfweek October Classic in Destin, Fla. Oct. 12-14. 

TENNIS

The Blue Devils tennis team will travel to Whitewater, Wis to face the Warhawks in a dual on Saturday, Oct. 18 for an 11 a.m. match to close out WIAC play for the fall. 

CROSS COUNTRY

After a week off, the Blue Devil men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Rock Island, Ill.  to compete at the Augustana Interregional Invite. The women's gold race with start at 11 a.m. with the men's gold race starting at 11:45 a.m.
The women's blue race will start at 12:30 p.m. and the men's blue race starting at 1:15 p.m.

MEN'S HOCKEY

The Blue Devils will open the 2025-26 season with an exhibition game against Saint John's on Saturday Oct. 18. Puck drop from Fanetti Community Center is set for 7 p.m.
