MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-Stout gymnastics team delivered a record-breaking performance Friday night at Johnson Fieldhouse, setting a new program-best team score on the uneven bars and adding two more top-10 marks in school history en route to a 190.825-185.725 win over UW-Eau Claire.
The Blue Devils' 47.925 on the uneven bars established a new school record, while their 47.950 on vault ranks as the seventh-best in program history. Their overall team score of 190.825 is also the seventh-best all-time for UW-Stout.
Career Nights and Personal Bests
Several Blue Devils had standout performances, with Jamie Beatty leading the way by setting career highs in four events: vault (9.600), bars (9.650), floor (9.575), and all-around (38.125). She took home the all-around title and earned first place on bars and floor.
Emma Brittingham (9.650), Sarah Lutz (9.650), and Taylar Schaefer (9.325) all notched personal bests on bars as part of the record-setting team performance. Jaidyn Carroll set a career mark on beam (9.150), while Cassidy Lennard had a personal-best vault (9.350).
On vault, Schaefer led the team with a meet-best 9.700, followed by Jessica Qualich (9.650) and Beatty (9.600), propelling Stout to its seventh-best score in program history.
Effie Ferguson shined on beam, tying for third place with a 9.750, while Isabela Krulich (9.550) and Kaylie Kassing (9.525) delivered strong scores on floor.
The Blue Devils will look to build on their historic performance when they travel to UW-Lacrosse for their next competition on Friday, February 7th.
