MENOMONIE - The UW-Stout gymnastics team fell in the 2025 season opener 189.475-187.050 to UW-Whitewater on Friday Night at the Johnson Fieldhouse.
Stout won the vault with a 47.650.
Jessica Qualich picked up the individual title, tying a career-high with a 9.700.
Taylar Schaefer took third with a 9.575 and
Gillian Cummins was fourth with a 9.550.
Stout scored a 46.250 on the uneven bars.
Effie Ferguson scored a 9.575 to place second.
The Blue Devils scored a 46.350 on the balance beam.
Taylar Schaefer and
Effie Ferguson tied for second with 9.625.
Gillian Cummins was fourth with a 9.575.
Effie Ferguson tied for first in the floor exercise with a 9.600.
Taylar Schaefer scored 9.525 to place fourth. As a team, Stout scored 46.800.
Cummins won the all-around with a 37.500 and Schaefer took second with a 36.025.

Stout will travel to Chicago, Ill. on Friday, Jan. 17 to compete at the Windy City Invite. The Blue Devils will face Illinois State University, Fisk University and Wilberforce University at 7 p.m. from Navy Pier Festival Hall.
