COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The UW-Stout Gymnastics Team placed fifth at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championship meet with a 191.650 Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils set a program record on the balance beam and four earned individual All-American honors.
The Blue Devils recorded the second highest team score in program history with the 191.650 and set a program mark on the balance beam with 48.700.
Earning All-American honors for the Blue Devils were
Anna Mielke, who tied for fifth in the vault with a 9.750.
Genevieve Czaplewski tied for second in the balance beam with a personal best 9.825. Her score tied for second best score in program history.
Effie Ferguson tied her personal best on the balance beam with a 9.800 to tie for fifth. Her score is tied for four all-time in program history,
Gillian Cummins scored a 38.100 in the all-around to place fourth. Her score ninth best all-around score in Stout history
Stout started with floor exercise and scored a 48.100 to top 48 for the fifth time this season.
Anna Mielke scored a 9.750 to tie for 20th place.
Molly Rickey and
Effie Ferguson scored a 9.650 and
Isabela Krulich scored a 9.575.
Stout then moved to the vault, where they scored a 47.825. Meilke led the way with a 9.750.
Taylar Schaefer scored 9.575.
Jessica Qualich scored a 9.550 and Gilliam Cummins scored a 9.525.
Stout had the third rotation on the bye and were on the bars in the fourth, scoring a 47.000.
Alia Wilson scored a 9.625 to tie for 13th place.
Sarah Lutz scored a 9.550 and
Effie Ferguson scored a 9.500.
Stout closed on the Balance beam where they scored the program record 47.800. Behind Czaplewski and Ferguson was
Gillian Cummins with a 9.725 and
Isabela Krulich scored 9.700 and
Ashtyn Gagner scored a 9.650.
