THIS WEEK IN BLUE DEVIL ATHLETICS: Oct. 21-27

FOOTBALL

The Blue Devils fell 40-37 in overtime at #11 UW-River Falls. 

Luke Cool set a school record for career PAT's (110) making all four of his attempts. He was 3-4 on field goals. Good from 20, 42, and 27. His only miss was a 50-yarder that hit the upright. He also set a school record for career points (244) and field goals made in a season with 17.

Adam Moen threw for a career-high 343 yards (23-40) and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 63 yards

Brooks Brewer had a game-high 13 tackles (9 solo). He also had a tackle for loss, two pass break ups and an interception.

The Blue Devils will host UW-Eau Claire in the "War on 94" on Saturday, Oct. 26 for homecoming. Kick-off from Williams Stadium is set for 1:05 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL

The Blue Devils split a pair of matches, defeating UW-River Falls in five sets and dropping a close four set match to Augsburg.

Brooke McCune totaled 42 kills in two matches this week for Stout. She averaged 4.67 Kills/Set while hitting. 232 and adding 13 digs and two blocks. Her 22 kills were the third most in the league in a WIAC game this season. 

Terrah Moshier averaged 4.67 digs per set (42 total) in two matches this week for Stout. She also had seven assists and three service aces.  She totaled 23 digs against UWRF, the sixth time this season she recorded 20 or more digs in a match. 

The Blue Devils are off until Saturday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Eau Claire, Wis. to face the Blugolds at 2 p.m. Stout will then play St. Olaf at 4 p.m. Both matches are set to be played in the McPhee Activity Center.

CROSS COUNTRY

After a week off, The Blue Devils traveled to Rock Island, Ill. to run at the Augustana Interregional Invite. The women's team placed fourth out of 35 teams with 175 points. Stout was the top WIAC team in the deep field. The Blue Devils finished ahead of UW-Whitewater and UW-Eau Claire, both of which were ranked higher in the region.
Brekkyn Lammert paced Stout with a 21:48 to placed 14th overall.In the men's race, Stout placed 11th out of 40 teams with 366 points. Andrew Carlson led Stout with 25:08 to place 36th overall. 

The Blue Devils are off next week as they prepare for the WIAC Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Stevens Point, Wis. The women's 6k race will start at 12 p.m. and the men's 8k race will follow at 1 p.m.

MEN'S SOCCER

The Blue Devils fell 7-1 to 12th ranked UW-Eau Claire on Saturday in their home finale.  

Stout will look to rebound with a pair of road games this weekend. The Blue Devils will travel to Moorhead, Minn. to face Concordia College on Saturday, Oct. 26. and then they will face UW-River Falls at Ramer Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 27. 

WOMEN'S SOCCER

The Blue Devils fell 0-4 at UW-Platteville. Kristen Silenzi made five saves for Stout.  

The Blue Devils will travel to La Crosse, Wis. to face the Eagles on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and will return home to face the UW-Whitewater Warhawks on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. on Nelson Field. 

HOCKEY

The Blue Devils play an exhibition game against Saint Mary's University on Friday, Oct. 25. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. from the Fanetti Community Center

WOMEN'S TENNIS

The Blue Devils split a pair of matches over the weekend. Topping Bethany Lutheran 6-1 and dropping a 6-1 decision to UW-Superior. Stout will travel to Madison, Wis. on Saturday, Oct 26 to compete in the WIAC Tournament.
