Sedin, Beving Earn All-WIAC Honors

MADISON - University of Wisconsin-Stout's Justin Sedin and Tucker Beving received All-WIAC honors the league announced today. 

Sedin, a junior first baseman from Poplar, Wis., was named first-team All-WIAC. He started 29 of 30 games played and hit .438 with 15 doubles and eight home runs. His .438 batting average was third in the conference and 37th in the nation. He ranked 12 the nation in on base percentage (.553) and 17th in slugging percentage (.810.). He was named CSC Academic All-District.

Beving, a right-handed pitcher from Norwalk, Iowa, was named All-WIAC Honorable Mention. The freshman went 3-1, pitching 42.2 innings with an ERA of 5.06 and a WHIP of 1.48. He allowed 38 hits while striking out 38.

Jake Thomas a freshman from Ottawa, Ill., was selected to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
