OSHKOSH, WIS. - The UW-Stout Blue Devils finished third at the WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional with a score of 190.475 to advance to the NCGA National Championships.
The Blue Devils set a team record in the balance beam with a score of 48.225 to help lift Stout to their second highest team score of the season at the WIAC championships.
Stout finished the vault with a score of 47.775, the second highest score of the season.
Gillian Cummins led the Blue Devils with 9.650, also the second-highest score on the year.
Kiara Brown scored a 9.600 and
Ashtyn Gagner scored a personal best 9.550.
On the uneven bars, Stout scored a 46.550.
Kiara Brown tied for first with 9.600.
Alia Wilson scored 9.500 to finished eighth.
The Blue Devils school record on the beam was led by
Effie Ferguson who tied a career-best 9.800 on the balance beam to take second place.
Isabela Krulich tied career-high with a 9.725 to tie for eighth in a very competitive beam rotation. Gagner scored a personal-best 9.675 and
Carlie Beatty scored a season-high 9.650.
Stout scored a 9.725 on the floor. Krulich scored a 9.675 to tie for tenth. Ferguson (9.625), Brown (9.575) and Gagner (9.575) all tallied their second-highest score of the season in the event.
Kiara Brown took second in the all-around with her second-highest score of the season with a 38.150, her fifth time scoring above 38.000 this year.
The Blue Devils advance to the NCGA National championship which will take place in Winona, Minn. on March 25.
