Blue Devil Gymnastics Rolls to Season Opening Win

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – UW-Stout rolled to a big 186.150-178.675 season opening win over UW-Eau Claire Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils won all four events to sweep the meet.

Junior Kiara Brown won the uneven bars with a score of 9.500 and tied for first in the vault with a score of 9.400 with teammate Gabrielle Winstead. Brown also placed second in the balance beam (9,575) to secure the all-around title with a score of 37.575.
 
Effie Ferguson won the balance beam with a score of 9.700 and took second in the uneven bars with a score 9.350.  

Isabela Krulich won the floor exercise with a score 9.500. Genevieve Czaplewski took second with a score of 9.400.

Stout returns to action this upcoming Friday, Jan. 13 when they travel to Winona State University where they will face the Warriors and UW-Whitewater in a 6 p.m. meet.
