EDINA, Minn. (September 26, 2022) - UW-Stout wrapped up three days of golf with a 13th place finish in the Twin Cities Classic at Edina Country Club Monday, moving up two places from the day before.
Junior
Austin Gaby paced the Blue Devils, finishing in a tie for 27th. Gaby led off with a 77 on the first day at Elk River Country Club, followed that up with an 81 on the second day at The Links of Northfork and dropped back into the 70s with a 78 in Edina to finish with a three-day score of 236.
The Blue Devils' B team, which finished 15th, had the next four finishers for Stout.
Dalton Anderson (74-86-84 - 244) tied for 57th.
Eugene Gregorich (84-78-83 - 245) tied for 62nd,
Garret Sigl (81-81-85 - 247) tied for 70th and
Matt Mueller (81-83-84 - 248) tied for 73rd.
Cole Noreen (78-87-84 - 249) of Stout's first team, tied for 76th.
Connor Nelson (79-81-90 - 250) of the second team tied for 78th. First team members
Hunter Neumann (83-81-87) tied for 82nd, and
Scott Springer (85-84-83 - 252) and
Adam Schilawski (76-88-89 - 252) tied for 87th. Second team members Ansem Nomm (82-88-87 - 257) was 98th and
Owen Moesch (93-84-81 - 258) was 99th.Â
Stout's first team was 13th (314-333-332 - 979) and Stout's second team was 15th (316-328-338 - 982). St. John's (288-297-301 - 886) ran away with the team title by 40 strokes.
The Blue Devils host the UW-Stout Fall Invitational, Oct. 2-3, at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva. The meet will conclude the season for Stout.
