UW-Eau Claire Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational
ALTOONA (September 19, 2022) - UW-Stout moved up one spot from the first day of the UW-Eau Claire Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational to finish seventh at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club Monday.
Hunter Neumann,
Austin Gaby and
Scott Springer all finished in the top 25 to lead Stout. Neumann tied for 16th, hitting a 76 on Sunday and a 77 on Monday to finish at 153. Gaby took off seven strokes on the second day, starting with an 81 on the first day and a 74 on the second day to finish with a 155 and tie for 23rd. Springer carded a 79 on the opening day and a 77 on the second day to finish with a 156 to tie for 25th.
Matt Mueller tied for 46th (80-82 - 162) and
Dalton Anderson overcame a sub-par first day performance to tie for 85th. Anderson hit a 95 on the first day and an 85 on the second to finish with a 180. As a team, Stout scored a 316 on the first day and took off six strokes on the second day for a 310 and a total of 626.
Individual performers
Adam Schilawski and
Garret Sigl finished in the top 40. Schilawski finished 27th (79-78 - 157) and Sigl tied for 39th (84-76 - 160).
The Blue Devils' second team finished ninth (318 -325 - 643).
Cole Noreen tied for 33rd (79-80 - 159).
Eugene Gregorich (79-84) and
Connor Nelson (80-83) tied for 52nd with total scores of 163.
Owen Moesch tied for 56th (80-84 - 164) and
Ansen Nomm was 59th (87-78 - 165).
Stout will be at the Twin Cities Classic, Sept. 24-26.
