Minnesota Golf Classic
MAPLE PLAIN, Minn. (September 11, 2022) - The UW-Stout men's golf team placed ninth of 15 teams after completing 54 holes of golf over two days at the Minnesota Golf Classic at Pioneer Creek Golf Course in Maple Plain, Minn, Sept. 10-11.
The Blue Devils played their best round of the tournament in the third and final round Sunday, scoring a 298. Stout tallied 915 strokes over the three rounds (307-310-298 – 915). The teams played 18 holes on Saturday and 36 holes on Sunday.
No one played the course as evenly as
Hunter Neumann, who scored an even par 72 in each round to finish in a five-way tie for 12th (72-72-72 – 216).
Austin Gaby tied for 48th (76-78-72 - 226).
Dalton Anderson played an improved second day. After scoring an 84 on the first day, Anderson carded a 79 and 78 to finish with 241 strokes, good for a tie for 91st.
Scott Springer matched Anderson's 241, going 79-86-76.
Matt Mueller finished 99th (80-81-83 - 244).
Stout will be at the UW-Eau Claire Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational Sept. 18-19.
